Call me jaded, but something isn't just sitting right with me about this. Of course, I don't have all the information. It just doesn't seem plausible to me that a two year old child would be able to open a trunk, climb in the trunk, and close the trunk. I am sure it is possible, but not probable.

Thoughts? ( I watch too much ID channel!)

That was my thought, too, click4it. Possibly the sibling then got scared to tell because it was becoming so big.

It is so very sad, that poor little sweetheart boy.

This happened in a nearby town to three little boys several years ago. There was a massive manhunt and they were located 3-4 days later in an abandoned car on the property of one of their own family, right where they were playing. No one bothered to look in the car right away. Dogs didn't pick up the scent. Parents sued the police and the city for massive amounts of money.

Why were those young kids unsupervised by a responsible adult???

This happened in "my neck of the woods."

The scary thing is the car was locked when he first went missing, and was looked into and searched under, but no one looked in the trunk. Apparently the car is owned by a customer of the child's father who was working on it. They found him when the customer came in to retrieve the car. Police now are saying they wished they had opened the trunk.

My thoughts are like clicky's - he was outside playing with his 7 year old brother and I wonder if they weren't playing a game that went tragically wrong.

The autopsy said he died of hyperthermia - excessive heat.
