What to do? What to do? No real plans. Probably get ahead on my class, knock a couple of projects off my house list, and veg in front of the tv. Yup, sounds good to me

Well my bowling tournament and hiking plans were cancelled on Wednesday . Now I have a bunch of free time and plans with an old friend on Sunday.

We ordered pizza and calzones for dinner. DD and I are going to paint each other's nails. Just relaxing for the rest of it.

Friday - I have a promising second date in about an hour. We're going out to dinner and then bowling. I haven't been bowling in well over a decade!

Saturday - longish run, then my mom is coming up and we're going shopping for things for my house. Not sure how long she's staying or what will happen in the evening.

Sunday - longish run, then I'm not sure. The park near my house is putting on an interesting-sounding lecture about crows, so I may go to that. I should stay home and clean/organize since the extreme heat this week (that is supposed to break tomorrow) has made me not clean much at all lately!!!

Finishing my move, cleaning the house like crazy so I can turn it over to the buyers on Monday, spending as much time as possible in between with my sister, brother in law and nephews before they move to Italy next week... I'm going to be busy!

Tonight, I'm going to pry myself away from my Kindle long enough to make a blueberry pie with the blueberries I picked with the kids. If anyone has pie mojo, may I please have some?

Tomorrow, get a quick polish change on my toes and then try to smash all of my chores into one day. Going out for drinks and dinner tomorrow night to celebrate my siblings' birthdays.

Sunday, babysit my nephew for most of the day (I could also use babysitter mojo-- he's a clinger who doesn't like to go to anyone other than his parents, so this will be interesting), then back home to my kiddies when they return from Twisted Acres (aka the marital home I happily left).

Happy weekend!

phmh-- I'm with you on the cleaning. This heat has made me more anti-cleaning/yard work prone than usual. I'm looking forward to the cold front.

Twisted Acres

It was a hot one today and I had a busy day at work so I'm baking a half chicken with lemon, garlic, rosemary and sea salt. Oh wait, this isn't the dinner thread....

Catching up on some couch lounging, maybe have some limeade cocktails, my seasonal favourite, watch some TV and maybe go to bed early as have to work again tomorrow.

Pub supper tomorrow then going out to a friend's amazing pad out by the water to hang out for dessert.

Bike ride home in the evening, then classic cars downtown Sunday. Lunch and beers with another pal, have to get some laundry in there somewhere....

God I love summer.

Sunday: two papers (~4 pages each) for one class, project for another, first draft of a lengthy memo (~10 pages) for the third. Oh, and about 6 chapters of reading.

Fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 5 am...then went up to bed and slept till about 1 pm then layed in bed and watched True Blood.

I would love to do something out of the house tonight but no plans. I swear the times people have stuff going on I can't go because I have my kids, and the rare time I don't have my kids I don't have anything to go do. I want to hang out with adults.
