Film at 11.

Or midnight.

Or sometime tomorrow.

Or possibly Wednesday.

That is all.

Thank goodness it's a boy. My three girls have "royal" names. Not on purpose...just always like them. I was waiting for the stupid comments about their names and if I did it because of Kate and William...even though my kids were named way before this.

I have the most pretentiously named daughters.

There was so much speculation that it was a girl after Kate's "slip" a few months ago. She probably slipped on purpose. I was very surprised to hear it was a boy. How exciting for them!

And my daughter has a royal name as well...but she is 23.

What is a royal name?

There was a Queen Mary; I don't necessarily consider that a royal name.

Regarding the royal names (at least with my daughters):

One has the same name of a current queen, another has the same name as a very popular queen from the same country, and the other also has the name of a queen from the same country (and others)...just not as famous. I didn't do it on purpose to name them after queens.

I am very happy to hear that they have delivered a healthy baby boy! I am a real "roayalist" at heart (I was born in England!) and think this wonderful young couple are going to "renovate" the royal family and bring them into modern times.....

I hope that they give poor Kate some time, peace and privacy to recover from her labour/delivery and that she is able to go home and be a Mum to her son in every sense of the word.....

As soon as the news interrupted regular programming I turned offf the tv. I figured they'd spend the entire day just talking about the name.

I think...therefore, I'm single.

It is what it is.

Well, they did talk about the name...but that was today.

George Alexander Louis

Regal enough I believe

I am very happy for them. They seem like a really nice down-to-earth couple. Currently they don't even have a nanny in place (though I'm sure they will eventually). But they want to do this by themselves (with help from friends/family....just like the rest of us).

They looked so happy and proud. Diana would have approved.

I went to England when Charles and Diana married and lined the streets with all of the others. So exciting. Such a disappointment to hear later what a sham it was. But then, Charles gave a good clue when asked by a reporter at the announcement of their engagement..."So are you in love", and Charles said "whatever love is". Well, if he was madly in love (as one should be at their engagement) he'd know what love was, and whether he was in it.

I thought Diana, in spite of her weaknesses (which made her human) was a wonderful mother to those boys, in spite of the other pressures put upon her.

I think Kate and William will not be encumbered by the same pressures...they will do it their way, and I think that the monarchy realizes that the nnew young bloods are doing something right, and bringing back popularity to the monarchy.

I'm truly beaming for this young family.

George is a very popular name.

DS25 is a George. (aka Georgeous )

DS28 is a Harry...... 'cept he has Harry on his birth cert, not Henry. Boy was I miffed when MIL rang to say "you'll NEVER guess what they called the new baby....." having said Harry was an old man's name.

They said it was a boy, turned out it was a GAL.

I love that she mimicked Diana by wearing a blue dress with white polka dots to present the baby outside the hospital.

And I love that she cheerfully displayed her post-baby bump without hiding it! How refreshing was that.
