I sent my WS a link for the healing library, the WS FAQ's. He is at work, and texted me back, he wants to read it! I didn't think he would b that interested. He's not much of a reader. I also mentioned going to an amusement park on our anniversary. He thought it was a good idea. I was surprised...he usually doesn't go along with my ideas. He really is trying. I've also noticed that I'm not thinking about the A all the time anymore. But since its only 5 months out, I know how quickly the roller coaster can go down. But I sure am enjoying the upswing while it lasts!

Sounds like some progress in the right direction.

Definitely enjoy the upswings when they occur.

Why don't you just say it? I'm the worst toy-maker in the world. I'm a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins!

Celebrate the upswings. They sure help you through the down times.

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

That's wonderful news. I'm glad he is open to reading the articles. A great small step in the right direction.

Be happy, but don't over-praise him.
This needs to be his everyday behavior, you deserve that.
Let him know you appreciate it, and this is the expectation.
Blessings to you!

I choose to thrive. I choose to be happy.

That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger...but damn, aren't I strong enough yet???

Perhaps his next step will be to read the posts here. You know, just lurk for a while. He'll get insight and advice even if it's not specifically aimed at him, KWIM? It's good that he's open to reading so perhaps I can recommend a book for him. How To Help Your Spouse Heal From Your Affair by Linda MacDonald. Since he's not much of a reader, this would be an edcellent one for him. It's short and to the point, about 100 pages. It's basically "Here's what you did, this is how your BS feels and this is what to do to fix it."

I hope your WH continues on this path and does what he needs to do to help you heal and fix himself.

All affairs are variations on a theme. No one has 'Beethoven's 5th' to everyone else's 'Chopsticks'.
