During my staycation I spent most mornings at the beach and I noticed that a lot of people, and particularly parents, seemed more focussed on their devices than on their kids or the scenery or the general experience of just 'being' at the beach.
I know people need to stay connected for some reasons like if they're self-employed or something, but jeez.
The kids are virtually on their own with nobody interacting or paying attention to them, and it must be a weird way to grow up.
I think it's sad.
