The boys came home tonight from their visit with WH.
He bought a PUPPY!!!!!
Are you f*cking kidding me?! He cannot take care of a puppy. He is gone for 10 hours a day. Guess OW will be taking care of it. Lets see how long that lasts since she doesn't even take care of her own child!!
I could just scream! This jackass has tried to tell me that he can only afford to give me $150 a month to support his two sons! And yet he can afford to buy a puppy! And this isn't just some dog he picked up at the humane society. This is a dog he bought from breeders and it isn't a very friendly breed either. Its a dog that needs lots of schooling and attention or it will become aggressive.
I know I can't control his actions but its really pissing me off that he tried giving me some sob story that he will only be able to afford a small amount in CS so he can keep the house. Guess what? Tough sh*t! What comes first your children or a dog?

Well, he's got to buy their love, right? If one of my kids weren't allergic to dogs, I'm sure that XWH would have already done that. I mean, what kid doesn't want a puppy? Major points for awesome dad!
I'm sorry, hanging. I'm also sorry for that dog because it will probably not get the attention it needs. Just remember that when he asks you to let the dog come home with the kids, that you say NO. I guarantee that he'll go on some trip with OW and think he can pawn the dog off on you so that he doesn't have to spring for a kennel, and then you'll be the bad guy to your kids if you don't go along with it. If he wants a puppy, then he can take care of the puppy.
Oh, and for good measure: FTG.

He is just acting out of control. Like a kid in a candy store. He has been blowing money left and right over the past month and I have just been documenting everything, in case he gives me a hard time about CS.
This sh*t is starting to piss me off more than his A. I think part of the reason he got the damn dog is just to tick me off. I told him that I wanted to wait until next year to get a puppy because they are a lot of hard work and they cost money. We had just bought the house. I didn't want to strap us financially or tie us down with added responsibility. That's also the reason we didn't have cable installed. It wasn't a necessity and we all got used to just having the basic channels or watching movies. Guess who got digital cable installed last week? Now that his mean wife is gone, he can run free and do whatever he feels like.
All this shit is adding up and yet he can only afford $150 a month for his two children. I can see this getting ugly.

I hear ya-- mine is doing this in different ways. After I left, he bought property that I wasn't sure about buying because it was a huge investment (and probably not a financially prudent one). He added another bathroom (when there are already two) once I was gone because I felt that we didn't need three. He's replacing all of our kitchen appliances for the Owife even though the current ones work just fine and don't need replacing (but aren't as pretty or fancy). He has always been totally crazy when it comes to home improvement (none of which he does himself-- he has to hire expensive professionals to do it), but I was always there to reign him in. I think he's being incredibly irresponsible, considering that he has CS to pay, grad school to fund, and a job that doesn't have the best security.
I guess they have to acquire a lot of stuff to keeping filling the voids that exist in their souls. Don't be surprised if your ex suddenly has a new car soon as well.
