Today, I had to run to the courthouse and pick up a certified copy of our marriage license for some legal proceedings for our company. Nothing ominous or bad, just needed a copy for an application.
As I stepped out of the building, the wind blew the paper right out of my hand and down the street (I did run and catch it - afterall - they just charged me seven bucks for that piece of paper)!
Was this an omen?????
It either means:
1. My marriage really has been "blown" to shit.
2. The winds of change are blowin' and it's a whole new world.
3. God has a sense of humor.
I don't know - what do you think?
Now if the paper would have flown away and got run over by a car in a parade with an advertisement for a divorce attorney on the side, then crapped on by a horse, then swept up by the clowns at the end and thrown in the trash... I'd say an omen for sure .
If I had to go with one, I'd say some powers that be has a sense of humor
I'm not trying to be an ass, but I don't place much store in things that aren't empirically supported.
4. You still have a sense of humor.
They can break our hearts but we still have our sense of humor.
Unfound - I was going to go that far in my description, but decided that "brevity is the sole of wit," as was said better by someone else.
Arable - Neither do I. Just trying to find a little humor in this somewhere.
Sal - thanks. That really is it. I always had a pretty good sense of humor before December. Trying to find it again.
Anyone else? Come on . . . put yourself in my place. What would it mean?
As part of his war reparations, my spouse upgraded the center stone in my wedding ring for our 16th anniversary. It was about 2 months post dday. The day he picked it up from the jeweler, he texted with his AP. About a week later I was sitting on the couch, looked down, and the stone was GONE. I had a moment of panic, but found it in the blanket I was cuddling in. I wondered at the time if it was a sign. Two weeks later I found out I was in false R.
Ugh. I think that was a blurt. lol
