We were married on the beach almost 8 years ago. When we left the marriage property we scooped up some sand from the exact spot we made our vows. Last night I saw a sunset alone for the first time since I can remember. As the sun dipped into the water I poured that sand back into the Gulf. It served its purpose. That Promise she made is now a lie.

Divorced 7/11/14. New Beginning on the Gulf of Mexico. It's real nice.

((sunsetslost)) Sometimes symbolic things like this can really help you move on to the next step in your healing. I hope that is true for you. It's important to accept what has happened in order to move forward.
