Others will be along shortly with more suggestions, but here are the first few that spring to mind -

Often times, churches will help people who are struggling and have no support system. If you belong to a church, talk to them. Many congregations will help non-members, too.

Seek out support and resources from crisis centers, shelters, etc. Do not let pride or embarrassment stop you from reaching out for help.

You can do this, honey.

You can call me NIK

What nik said. My teacher's license had expired so I had to get it renewed in my current state. Is there a similar process for you dental certificate?

I have no family in the area either and found cheap daycare through my son's school, babysitters through the same, and I started reaching out to a couple of neighbors for help.

I initially had to take a job I was waaaaaay overqualified for (teacher's aid) but it got my foot in the door and I ended up with a teaching position in the middle of the school year.

You can do this, hurtz. Tackle one thing at a time.

Try calling "411" where you are at. In some states/cities, the 411 system is for emergency social services. If you have it there, talk to the volunteer, tell them your situation, and they might be able to steer you towards some help. Be patient there are a lot of people using the system, but be persistant about following up every lead. Best of luck to you!

First ((((((hurtz413))))

How do you eat an bite at a time.

Right now, which thing is pressing on you the most? Which issue can you do one tiny thing to get toward your new life?

And remember to do anything that brings you a moment of joy.

Why are you going to the hardware store and expecting to buy bread?
