a.k.a., "the VA".
Do you have to make everything so g.d. complicated?! So mind-bogglingly slow & inefficient? So....dare I say it?...STUPID?!
After talking with a mid-level employee whose diction rivaled Demosthenes (pre- "stones-training" regimen) again today....then spending at least an hour trying to sift through information online, we still don't know the real lowdown.
I'm angry for us, and think if it leaves us --when we're not in dire straits and we're overall fairly sharp at figuring things out-- utterly confounded...what about others who are worse off??!!
What a friggin' goatrope!

I feel for you. I spent a lot of time in VA hospitals and clinics during medical school and it just made me sad and frustrated. Our heroes deserve better.

OMG!!! i could not agree with you more. The stories I could tell. Its not just the speed (lack of). Its the epic ridiculousness of some of the stuff!
But that's just a lot of water

Yup they have mastered inefficiency when it comes to dealing with Vets.
Have you looked into finding someone who can help you navigate your way through this stuff? Is there a facility near you that you can go to, and start asking questions?
It is a damn shame that the folks that serve to help us maintain our way of life, and safety of our nation have to deal with so much beuracratic nonsense just to get the benefits they have earned.
((((and strength)))
