Excellent job!!! Dad for the WIN!
Don't get discouraged from the French braid. Once you've got it down it's easy. Just be patient. I always did DD's while she was watching TV. Made her sit more still and gave me time to get the braid right. She is 22 and still asks me to French braid her hair.

Awesome!!!
psst - the fish bone braid is a great gateway braid between the basic braid and the french braid. Youtube it for a tutorial.

OMG - that is so adorable! Love it!!
Slight t/j my boss and I were at a publicity shoot with some kids and the photographer wasn't happy with the ponytail one of the women did on a little girl so he shouted "IS THERE A MUM HERE WHO CAN DO THIS!!!".
My boss is a big burly sports personality who is in the shot with the little girl and he shouts back "oh please - I've got two girls!" and does her hair himself. Priceless.
I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Awesome job. Your dd is cute as a button!
I have never learned to french braid. In fact that made me sad a few months ago and I begged dd to let me try. She is now 16 and not so very nicely told me that ship has sailed.

My dad didn't braid my hair, but he always combed it after my bath. It was long and tangled and my mother had no patience! I will never forget the sound of the comb snapping against his wedding band. Good memories for sure. Way to go dlmos!
