Woke up to the sound of the kids playing downstairs

Was dreading the disaster but to our surprise everything was fine...or so we thought.

Went to the bathroom to discover we had no water. Checked with neighbour. They had no water either but said they blew a fuse so... Went to test the fuses...wh meter was dead. Called my dad who came, checked every fuse in all three panels. Found their blown fuse, replaced it but still no water.

Called landlord.

Two minutes later two young chaps came over. Landlords grandsons visiting from Another province. Asked me to check the water

Woohoo. Water is back...

Ya, ok apparently the fuse panel for the water pump is in the BARN and the guys had been in there playing around and shut it off by accident.

Never would have thought the water pump and fuse panel for the house would be in the barn...

That's my morning so far, how's yours???

LOL.. tell them to leave the fuses alone

My morning? Well, got up at 5:45, have taken puppy outside 6 times since then, had 6 kids here by 8 am (2 of them my own) and a crazy bitey puppy tethered to me. Got breakfast for everyone who needed it, while emptying the dishwasher, packed up dd(16) who is dog/house/turtle sitting at my parents this weekend. Which included making a tiny salad for her to take for said turtle. Puppy bit my toes and the cupboard knobs while I did this. Packed lunch for camp for ds and forced him into clothes/sunscreen/teeth and hair brushing.
DD gets picked up, sister calls ranting about something..tell her I will call her back. Several reminders for the children to stop climbing on eachother because that never ends well. Clean up breakfast, crate puppy. Walk the 5 kids the 15 minutes to camp, wait 15 minutes with 5 kids to sign in because there is a huge line, walk 2 of them who aren't in camp back, let puppy out of crate and take him outside, tether him to me again. 2 kids I still have here sit down to play with Legos, I sit at the table to moderate and pay bills online. Puppy eats my feet. Sister calls again to resume rant. Comfort her. DD starts texting me non stop to help her with the fire alarm that is beeping at my parents. Have to walk her through resetting it for like 25 minutes because she's afraid to touch it.. call sister back.. get back to my bills, and the modding. Email back and forth with my husband, while dd is still texting, about the bills.
And that's where we are currently. I saw an opportunity to bitch and complain and I ran with it.

My morning?

I logged into SI and slapped my forehead. I went for my morning walk and saw two dead frogs smashed in the street...poor little guys

Waved to a bunch of old people on their morning walk as I zoomed past them

Came home to Teddy and Kyle demanding another cookie, gave them each one and went outside to water the patio before the heat sets in.

Started my morning reports, reconciled our checking account and ran payroll. Paid payroll tax, gave MH a kiss and here I am

My morning is nothing compared to yours!!

Woke up at 4:45am to get myself showered and dressed....cause lord knows once the kids are awake my morning is pretty much shot for me.

DH doesnt work today, so everytime i walked by his sleeping body i wanted to jump up and down on his chest so that he would be awake just like me

The entire extended family of my landlord has been at her house visiting, 16 people (she was expecting 7).

Now and then we would see people walking around the property and barn. Heard a few talking about money and was starting to get worried that they want her to sell. From what I've been told the kids don't get along and each has been pushing her to sell this place. It all about money right...

Well I showered, dressed, went into town to take care of a few things and get gas. Wh is doing a late shift today. So far not a bad morning. Happy to finally find out where the water pump is.

Got up got the kids ready and off to school. Went to the dryer to get socks out for my H realized a crayola had been murdered and left a colorful trail all over the lighter color laundry. Found an non pink pair of socks for H, went to McDonalds where the lady got our order wrong 5 times then when she called it back and we paid we had to get a refund because she overcharged us. Had it out with the floor supervisor because shutting up and listening to the customer apparently escaped her and I lost it started yelling over her because she was not letting me speak then she was saying I was yelling I told her if she would stop talking I could talk normal. I even whispered it and she was still nonstop, finally the manager came out I explained how disrespected we felt and the woman refused to listen and we were the customer and all she had to do was let me finish a sentence and she could have avoided me getting angry.
Got home and got chased around the house by my toddler who wanted my frappe and was kicking and screaming at me, not so fun there. Then decided to take a walk with him once he calmed down and I had brain freeze from sucking down my frappe so he couldn't get it. Came in decided to walk the dogs, one got loose had to chase her then find my toddler who disappeared.
I still have to clean the crime scene of crayola.
Is it bedtime yet?

Glad you know where the water pump is though, good to know those things! :)

Wow! My not having any water doesn't seem so bad lmao

Wh has left for work.
DS is napping.
Dd is watching Barney.
I am listening to the Neighbours kid chatter on non stop... while typing no not really listening

Hoping I have an uneventful afternoon. Meant to fill up the gas can when I went into town but forgot the can so I won't be cutting the grass.

Yep. We had actually looked for it since we thought it was in the house like wh parents house. It's in the well here and that is by the barn. The switch is at the barn too which just baffles me. Why they were playing with switches is beyond me

I spoke to the person who rents the barn. In the discussion he told me where the septic tank and access is. Couldn't find that either. Now I know where it is (other side of a row of hedges) and can get it pumped (or is that my landlords responsibility???

Wh totally cleaned the kitchen while I was gone. I have laundry but was thinking I might put my feet up for a bit and watch Barney with dd

I slept late because g_r took today off to watch the kids (childcare bottomed out for this week) and we stayed in bed together until 8:30. Then I puttered around and drove to work in the beautiful, sunny, 70 degrees with my windows down blasting Ozzy's Boneyard, Octane and Hair Nation for 90+ minutes, wawa had fresh coffee and nobody came knocking on my office door when I got in.

All in all I had a pretty great morning.

feelsgaslighted, C'mon over!!
I mean .. once you've hit this level of chaos it can't really get more chaotic. Bring your dogs, your kids, your pink socks and your frappe. We'll just turn them all loose and sit and watch

metamorphisis, Lol thanks I needed that!
DragnHeart, I would faint if I came home to a clean kitchen where it wasn't done by me lol! If your renting and the septic backs up I think that falls under landlord responsibility.
I had to go to Lowes to buy some spot cleaner and as I was talking to my 2yr old a worker looked at me asked if she could help me, I was so tempted to say yes but you guys don't offer mental help.
