Today is mine and my husbands 10th wedding anniversary. In 2010 he was actively engaged in the EA part of the affair at this time. In 2011 even the thought of acknowledging this day made me feel physically ill. In 2012 he tentatively wished me a Happy Anniversary before he left for work in the morning and I told him that I wasn't ready for that yet, that we weren't in a bad place but I just wasn't ready for that yet. He'd been hopeful when he said it and I watched him just sort of deflate as he said ok. Today, 3 years later, I was ready. Not wanting to make a big deal or have a big dramatic scene I simply hugged him on his way out the door and said it. Happy Anniversary. And I meant it. I'm feeling pretty good about that
