My BFF is getting married in September. It's also her birthday on the wedding day. Her kids are grown, she's moved into his house which needs some renovations, his kids live with their mom, they have most things, but of course could use some upgrades. I know the next reno is the kitchen.
What is the best wedding gift when you are looking at those of us marrying again over 40/50?

No, she doesn't have a registry. She decided that was silly at her age.

I am not a cook but maybe center the gift around something they enjoy. Possibly a Panini maker or a Keurig.
The other suggestions would be a gift card to their favorite spot because their kitchen will be under renovation. Tickets to a performance. Good luck!
