It hurts but sometimes it helps so that you can let go that which you cant control (him) and focus on you.

You are the prize. Focus on you now and getting to a better, stronger, healthier you. You are worth it.

Did it help you to hear that from someone not connected? I hope so because your IC is right. ((Hugs))

Well talk about cutting right to the chase, huh?

The 'label' itself doesn't really matter. It is what the 'labelee' (your wh) is doing about himself.

I appreciate straight talk and I would have SO loved an IC that said what yours said to you... to me...instead of my having to use the 'figure it out for yourself in due time' mindset that so many IC's seem to have.

And you are aware that people with personality disorders, which includes NPD, are pretty much NOT going to change, right? (change IS possible for any human, but that human has to be desirable of the change.....and PD'd people have to be total 'change workhorses' in order to have any effect)

Start detaching, SB.....

In my effort to be *concise*, I often come off as blunt and harsh. Sorry, don't mean to be offensive.
