Egg freezing doesn't work as well as sperm or embryo freezing.
Pro: you have eggs; with the right hormones the uterus can support a pregnancy well into your 50s if you're healthy
Con: the expense of the hormone cycling to get the eggs, the expense of paying for their storage
The physical drawback of having the hormone shots and egg extraction
Many of the eggs don't survive to be fertilized

I had a friend who went through this process. I was there for emotional support for her.
Her experience was very successful. They harvested a number of eggs first go round (great).
Cons for her: massive mood swings, weight gain, very expensive (one go round was about $10K)
Pros: Took weight off of her shoulders. She wants to be a mom but is single and 36. She said she no longer feels a sense of urgency with these men she dates. She can slow down.

Freezing eggs has come a long way. They're getting the process figured out but make sure you do your homework on clinics and find the one with the best success (live births).
