We are almost 8 months past dd. I am coping much better these days. We have been separated and I have been focused on me and my daughter. My WH has been in IC since march, goes weekly. He still cries every day all day. I don't mind him coming to see our daughter here but his mood is a downer. I've worked hard to make my home a place of peace. How do I handle this gently? I think he needs meds but I don't want to put myself in any way as his caretaker. I fear he will try to latch on to anything from me at this point. I hope I am making sense, very frustrated.

Well, you could email his therapist and tell him of the depression you see when he is at your house. You could also say, I can see that you are down and this is not the place for you to deal with that. Then suggest he call his therapist.

Those are just thoughts that popped into my head. My SAWH has severe depression issues and meds are a necessity for him. I have emailed his therapist when I felt he wasn't maintaining his health. Let the therapist parent him, so you don't have to but are still not ignoring the problem. Depression is a serious disease.

The road to recovery is long and hard. Some days I am up for it and others not!
