Husband is out of town. Doing great checking in and saying sweet things. We had a good talk about boundaries for trip and who he can befriend at conference...pretty much no women under 50... But I feel myself building up a wall and insulating myself. Even chose not to answer my phone a couple of times when I knew it was him calling. What's this all about?? Have to think on that...
Honesty is a very expensive gift. Don't expect it from cheap people.

Because it's scary? Even with all he is doing, maybe you have a twinge of fear? I would say that's normal. I think it's wonderful he is keeping in touch and trying to help you trust him and feel safe. I think we when feel fear, it's natural to put up barriers or walls to try and protect ourselves, just a thought for you!
You sound like you are doing a pretty good job coping, take care!

Fear of being hurt again can make us crawl inward. If you don't answer the phone then he can't tell you if something bad or good happened. I've been there and understand. It sounds like he is doing a terrific job of being supportive.
