Anyone that does marketing knows that you run versions of ads, A ad, B ad, C ad and then see which gives you the best return.

Apparently some smart fella is doing just that on OLD. I was checking out Match, and pulled by newest. There were 3 versions of the same guy. Pics were with bald head/ cowboy hat, arms crossed in front of skyline. OK....

The sad thing is all 3 of his profiles have the EXACT same verbage! Maybe he doesn't really know who he is.

Another funny one, I watch is a guy who caught my eye. I put him in the save file. Then I watch him go from town to town in his profile. First he was in N. CA, then to the SF bay area, then he headed to Washington State, Louisiana also, then S. CA. Now he is back in the SF Bay Area. I actually sent an email to him that he sure does get around. Just wondering how many women fall for this stuff?

Match is notorious for fraudulent profiles. They generate them and use them to show "interest" in new members who haven't paid for a membership yet, so they can get them to pay for a membership.

As far as the traveling man, there are quite a few people who travel for work, so they change their profile to reflect their current location.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

That profile is probably a scammer, trying to lure women in different areas.

OMG Must Survive... your descriptions sounded so close to my dad I had to call him and ask if he's jumping his OLD profiles around the country. (For the record he is a wonderful guy - not a scammer at all. He just has a tendency to change his picture a lot... )

He assured me he kept it to N.Cal and would never wear a cowboy hat!
