Yay, my friends are hosting their annual Halloween Party.

It's adults and we bring our kids, so everyone is welcome, as long as you dress up!

I found out today and am starting to think of ideas because there's a best award for kids...and one for adults. I want to win!

What have y'all thought of so far?!

Isn't it mean I'm not real worried about kids, I mean like they'll find something & they're old enough my opinion won't REALLY matter.

I'm worried about me because I want another trophy.

I've taken 1st once before.

I was inspired by one of the grumpy cat pics and plan on going as grumpy cat this year..... Look for the one with a lady with gc makeup - add ears and a shirt that says NO.

I was brainy-Smurf last year.

Freaked me out because strangers were actually hugging me on the street while cooing "I always wanted to hug a smurf!!!!"

I was thinking "Get a grip lady...you are fifty years old"

PS I am NOT a touchy-feely person.

Edited to add....I would LOVE to be HR Pufnstuf!

DSS wants to be a Cyberman. I'm working on the costume now. I figured out how to do it after stalking one at the comic con we went to in August. I think I scared the Cyberman

I'll have to post pics later but one I saw recently was 50 shades of grey...a grey shirt with grey paint swatches attached.

One year, I went as Cousin Itt. I'm short, so it was easy to pull off that part. I took a frosting cap and measured gray yarn to twice my height and wove it into the cap. Some sunglasses and a hat and I was in character. We're in the South, so it was hot as heck and hard to see, but it was awesome to hear people trying to figure out if I was male or female.

Another year, I made Waywardson a costume of Krumm from Real Monsters:

I took a large box and glued quilt batting to it, then painted it, made the mouth out of some felt, and made the eyes for him to hold. He could see out of the mouth and wore the box on top of his head with his arms sticking out at the sides. That was a good one, too!

I read about an interesting one today that would be good if you're not really into dressing up: Wear a red dress, put your hair up and put a stick of celery in it--a Bloody Mary!

You are important and you matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your life matters. Always.
