Another great talk! I have been feeling sad and frustrated about all the feelings (anger.sadness, resentment) building up inside me with nowhere to go. H is stressed with work and upcoming inventory so needless to say it's been a rough week.

I sat down with him today and poured
my heart out and he did the same. Opened up to me about his feelings with work, us, his dad, etc. we hugged and cried and then he had to go to work.

The "old" him would have been stressed then angry over my sadness and stormed off to work saying "talk to your mom if you need to talk".

It has been 4 months of ups and downs but he has consistently shown me how he is working on himself and the changes are sticking. This is the kind of man/relationship I never could have dreamed possible. And the funny thing is that from the outside you would see us talking and crying and think "wow what a mess" but the truth is our fake "happiness" months and years ago was so unhealthy and dysfunctional!!!!

Glad It's going well for you. Isn't it amazing how things change once you communicate properly? Wish we'd learnt the talking skills we discovered after d-day years ago when our marriage was so dysfunctional.Your title says it all...

We have discussed wishing we had known how to communicate before we got married. We were so young and have learned more in the past 4 months than we ever learned in the 15 years we have been married!!
