I have spent the past few days picking an MC. I want to thank everyone on SI for the advice and hope I made a good selection.

Unfortunately the one I decided on can’t see us until 10/3. But that may be a good thing because WW will have had 6 IC appointments by then and hopefully will be prepared for MC.

I’m excited, hopeful, and fearful, all at the same time.

Up until July 4th this year, had anybody asked, I’d have told them we has as close to a perfect marriage as possible.

Wow, what a change a simple offhand comment can make.

Me–BS age 61
Her -- WS age 59
Married for 34 years
One child, 30yrs

Her 'A' 1994(?) through 1998
D-Day 7/4/2013 Yes, I didn't find out for almost 15 years... but the pain is just as bad as if she were with him last week.

I've noticed with my counselor that she gets booked up pretty far in advance. That's usually a sign of a good counselor.

You may want to book a few appointments ahead of time, so you don't have a long wait time until your second session. If the MC doesn't work for you, you can always cancel on any subsequent appointments you had made.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

(((tired)))

I'm glad you have found a MC. Sometimes the wait for a first appt can take a month or so. Good luck.
