Some things I've been without for awhile, that I've noticed are recently finding their way back into my life:
My laugh
My confidence
My appetite
A good night's sleep
Most music (some lyrics are still too close to home... but a few months ago I couldn't listen to anything)
Movies/shows with even the slightest romantic undertones. These were also unbearable not long ago. Now, I'm mostly okay with it.
More days I don't cry, than days when I do.
Dreams and plans about the future, MY future.
Hope for better days to come.
Contentment in spending time alone. As an only child, this is old hat for me... I just had to remember how.
My grip on these things is still slippery... some times I have a really bad day and it all flies right out the window. But, it flies back in a lot sooner lately.
Feeling so much love for everyone here at SI!

Yep - this is how it begins. Happiness creeps up on you when you least expect it.
I'm thrilled for you gypsybird.
I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!
