H & I took our first ballroom dancing lesson last night!
We were the only ones that signed up for this session, so we are basically getting private lessons - which was a little off-putting at first as ALL of her focus was on US.
We are a bit *clunky* but hopefully will find our rhythm and be able to RUMBA at our dd's wedding next summer!
Oh and Moo - H says you don't have anything to worry about. He says you are way too good and out of our league. Not sure, I don't think that was a compliment of ME at all.

More dancers in the house!!!!
If all you are studying is rumba then you could be really good by next summer. I've only been doing this for two years but over a dozen dances. Take a video of yourself next time so that you can see how much you do improve over time.

Oh there will be no video!
And my dumb phone doesn't do video anyways... sooooo....
We are being introduced to Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Swing and Hustle (my dd says she will put *The Hustle* on the no play list! She is no fun!)

You can hustle to many modern songs so she can't stop you.
You should find a way to take the video for yourself. I regret not doing it early on. I do have videos at 6 months, 1 year, 1 1/2 years and 2 years.

I wonder if the instructor could do it for us - I will ask!

So exciting! We just started our 4th year of lessons. It is awesome to go to a stag and doe or wedding and even though your dance instructor would die, everybody else thinks you are amazing since all they can do is wiggle around a little. I looooooove dancing. If you can do the hustle, the cha cha and the swing you can dance to any music.
