Has anyone had any experience with using the Celebrate Recovery 12 step program as a tool for working through fixing themselves?

They offer this at our church. I've never attended, but I've heard good things about it

I have been to support friends. It's not a group I would subscribe to personally. I'm not a fan of groups that try to "pray away the gay" and it felt too intimate to hear people introduce themselves as sex addicts/victims of molestation etc.

But my friend, who is a recovering drug addict, credits the program with changing her life and it surely has.

I suppose if it fits with your faith beliefs then you would enjoy it.

My cousin leads a weekly CR meeting. He's gotten a lot of success out of it. It definitely fits in with his particular faith and belief system, though. As far as I know, his particular issues involved drugs and/or alcohol.
