I am off FB for awhile now that they are pushing this new show called Betrayal on ABC ... who would make a show about the worst time in a woman or man's life. I'm bawling even seeing the picture of the man on top of the woman in the ads. I just keep thinking of my husband screwing his ex.

There isn't a show on TV that doesn't have something about an affair in their story line. Isn't it disgusting?? And the worst part is, I think I would have found these shows interesting pre-DDay. :(

What about Scandal about the president having an affair? Or The Good Wife? Disgusting!!

There is this one add with a couple clearly having sex...it's a still photo and there it is in my face on FB when I go to sign in. I just keep sobbing and picturing him with her and him doing that to her....something that was ours..sacred between us. I keep triggering and sobbing. I'm trying to stay off FB. It is killing me. I just keep picturing it over and over and over again. I feel like I'm in a nightmare I can't wake up from.

I just saw an ad for "Betrayal" that quotes statistics that 71% of people say they would cheat if no one got hurt. But of course someone always gets hurt. Stupid frickin' Hollywood undermining morals by trying to make us think it's 'cool.'

I think ABC has gone too far with their choice of programming this season. I for one won't be watching that station.

As for the ads, see if in the upper right hand corner of it is a drop down menu to remove it from your newsfeed. That may help. Over 2 years out and those ads bother me even on the radio.

They also have ads on Pandora.... GRRRRRR.... So, I'm out for a run, listening to the "Dance Cardio Mix" when that comes on....

Total trigger. Honestly, I can't even go out for a run without being assaulted with this crap. I barely have watched any TV in 8 months. Is there no escape?

I'm just devastated to imagine that this show will glorify the erotic secret passion of an A. Well done, Hollywood. Just disgusted.

I've always been pretty socially liberal but the entertainment industry has become an infinite abyss when it comes to any sense of moral responsibility or common sense. They have actually cast morality into the garbage and embraced salacious programming. They will keep pushing the edge of the envelope and unfortunately, the mindless lemmings will be ever-more titillated into watching.

Movie and television programming will just get more hypersexualized and morbid. Make no mistake, if they could get away with showing "snuff" films or executions - but placed in a "reality" format, they would do it in a heartbeat and millions would watch every week.

It has nothing to do with you.

I am SO EXCITED about the Homeland premier and logged onto FB.........that Betrayal show was in my face -- 1st time I've ever heard of it.

My heart dropped. I felt myself get shaky and I know the color must have drained from my face.

Millions of people will be tuning in to find entertainment in one of my worst nightmares.

Technically I don't know if this was a trigger or not, because I was able to X out and go about my business...but I definitely reacted, and still feel some residual nausea in the pit of my stomach.

The same pit that brought me to SI in the first place.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one! It has me stuck in my room, away from WH because it was just torturing me. :( THen I flew off the handle and started yelling at him through texting and now he's sleeping downstairs for the night...which at this point is fine with me. The only problem is when I don't feel him next to me I start thinking about how he may be sitting downstairs...thinking about how this isn't going to work and then contacting her.I'm already worried he will. :(

I'm sooo tired of being a policeman and I'm sooo tired of HOllywood making light of these painful situations!! I saw a horrible RObert Deniro (spelling..sorry...too lazy to look it up) two weeks ago and they made fun of cheating. I was practically bawling and had to turn it off. What is funny about betrayal that makes a woman feel like she wasn't important to her husband at all....damnit.here I go again...another night of crying myself to sleep.

If the public would quit watching they will take them off and refocus.

I got mad when my spouse found nothing wrong with watching the tv program that had infidelity as the main plot. The only show I will watch that has infidelity as the main plot is 'Hope Floats' My Fav!

I was watching the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother and there was mention of an affair .... sigh ... you cannot run.

But in all honestly after D-Day which was less than 2 weeks ago, I consciously find myself avoiding those lovey-dovey happily-ever-after chick flicks. If I really had to choose, I would much rather sit through Betrayed than one of those. Guess I'm just weird that way ...
