My wBF and I had a really serious talk last night about everything. It's the most honest I've been about my doubts and feelings.

Today I woke up to alot of really sweet messages. He hasn't talked to me like this since before Dday. And then he sent me an email of a counselor he found to ask if the guy looked ok to me. I replied yes, and he's already set up the appointment for Saturday!

I feel like he's taking control, and it's like a huge burden has been lifted off my chest. Actually feeling hopeful.

We are going to try both MC (communication issues) and IC (A issues) with the same person. It's a male counselor, which I have mixed feelings about. I feel a little uncomfortable talking to a guy about sex, but wBF feels more comfortable with it. I have my own IC, so I want to focus more on what makes him comfortable. The guy is a certified marriage counselor.

Are there any questions we should ask on the first appointment to make sure he's right for us?

Glad to hear things are going so well for you.

I think I would ask if they were in a relationship and a partner strayed what would they do. We had a MC who would D or leave right away. I don't think this person was the right MC. Ask any other questions that you feel are important. Sometimes you can tell the first visit and sometimes it takes a couple of times to decide.

Good luck

There is a great post with question to ask a potential MC.

It is buried and I didn't see it until someone pointed it out.

Hope this helps:
