I just wanted to take a minute to thank the staff and members of this site for all that you have done for me.

I came here in early '07 with just suspicions of an A. I didn't join, at that time, but wish I had because it would have made d-day somewhat easier. (Since I didn't know what I was into, I was easily gaslighted.)

I was suicidal for the better part of a couple of years. I didn't talk about that here, or anywhere, but the caring and gentle advice given to me here helped me through my darkest days. The fact that I'm still around is due in large part to the help I received here.

So, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you to all of the mods and members, past and present.

Double this. This site saved my sanity. I am always try to keep in mind that it would not exist without the sacrifice of the moderators, guides, admins. And of course without the compassion that comes from the members of this club.

You know...I had a member this weekend hold me and cry. She said "I was going to kill myself...I know I wasn't going to live if I hadn't found SI"

I told her that the beauty of this site is if you ask for help...people *will* help you

I'm so glad she's here with us today. I'm so glad you ALL here with us today...you're strong and loving and wonderful!!

Thank you!

Hi. I heard cheesecake was being served in this thread?

I'm very grateful for this place in its entirety. I have been soothed as well as humbled when I needed to back down off a shaky course. I only hope to give back as much as I can.

I ate a whole personal size cheesecake this weekend.

I'm thankful for SI. It definitely saved my sanity and gave me strength.

As a voice from the "other side", thank you.

When the full realization of what I'd done hit me, there were people here to help me pick up the pieces. SLHim was there when I had a horrible panic attack. I was curled up on my couch, sobbing into a pillow, praying I wouldn't wake my husband who desperately needed rest, and reading SI, trying to figure out how my life got so screwed up.

When I confessed my cutting urges, wincings_sparkle and a host of others were there to help me thru it, and even better, dig thru the panic and urges to the underlying traumas and dramas.

The voices here saved my sanity, and probably my life.

I could go on, but my son just locked himself in the bathroom.

Anyway, thank you everyone.

I'd also like to thank everyone associated with this site, the Admins, Mods and guides.

This site has helped me pull my head out of my ass. Without it, I can say that I'd be living in a van down by the river right now (but not for financial reasons at all – just where I was headed).

So, thank you.

Thank you so much TIKY for starting this thread! I really didn't want to join in some of the others, but so wanted to thank the staff here at SI. What a godsend this site has been! And I've been able to "pay it forward" and help people IRL with what I have learned here as well.

Thank you so much all!!

Never ending gratitude for this site and everyone (Admins, Mods, Guides) who sacrifice so much to have this site running smoothly and safely. Thankful to all members who take the time to post on threads and share wisdom, advice, support, hugs, whatever is needed.

I do have to say. I am now disgruntled. Did nobody catch the gif that I posted? I mean c'mon. Classic Creepshow line where the dad keeps saying "Where's my cake!!"

Sigh, nobody appreciates me.

But still I would like to thank you all again

I seem to be noticing unappreciative members - ingrates - tonight. So thanks for starting the thread, TIKY, so that other voices can be heard and we can be appreciative, and even celebrative.

As a voice from the "other side", thank you.

Glad you parenthesised that, seeing we are all on the same side.

On that note...(thanks for posting this, TIKY)...an add on to what DS posted and more g2g insight.

I also joined in 2007 when my BH asked me to. I jumped in right away and despite long, drawn out TTing and taking a bunch of bricks over the head, I finally did get it.

I have learned more from the site that I have in IC, MC, books, my job as a crisis counselor, etc.

It only felt right when given the opportunity to become a moderator to pay it forward. And I feel blessed to be working with such a wonderful group and to be part of this site, filled with so may good people willing to be a shoulder every day, any hour of the day.

At the MI g2g I got to meet up with old friends (some of who literally had a part in saving my marriage), and some new.

This is good for me. It makes me realize the people here are real. Real people who are multi-dimensional, and it makes me realize there are people with hearts and feelings and true dilemmas behind their written word. It makes me see things less black and white, and it helps me remember to open my mind and heart a little more each time I am here.

I also had the privilege of having a member say to me the impact I have had on him and that was a gift for me. (Thank you!)

I am always somehow different after a g2g. My heart is fuller, I am enlightened and rejuvenated and excited.

I'm glad the positive energy at SI far outweighs the crap. There's too much tough stuff on here to add to it.

Thank you to all of you who put your hearts into the intention of the site. DS and MH have truly built a special place. We are all so much better for it.

I too wish to add my gratitude for this site, in particular thank you Deeply Scared and Mangled Heart for providing a safe haven for WS’ to work through their issues without fear of reprisal. If it wasn’t for this asylum, I wouldn’t have been able to work through many of my issues in regards to cheating. I came here many years ago with a huge chip on my shoulder against any WS and literally had a mini celebration whenever I caught wind of any sort of karma one experienced. I’m not kidding when I say this; I literally got upset at first whenever I heard about a BS even trying reconciliation. I wanted blood; I wanted to see WS’ suffer the most hideous form of Karma with no second chances whatsoever. No lie, I was actually appalled when I first got here and noticed there was a protected forum for WS’.

“Why in the heck do they have something like that? They DESERVE to burn for what they had done.” Was my exact thought when I first got here. Then you know what, I began to see that there where WS’ who desperately wanted to earn their ‘F’, something that I thought didn’t really exist. Reading post after post and then seeing the transformation of brand new foggy WS’ who work through their issues really assisted me in getting over my bitterness. To this day, I can still remember the very first post WS post that began to cut through my latent anger. It was a WS who was afraid that they hadn’t return the call of their BS in time and the possible negative feelings which could possibly result.

It shook me to see someone so upset at something, which seemed so small but would mean so much to their spouse. That didn’t sound unremorseful and try as I might, I simply couldn’t get angry and have hateful thoughts against someone who really did seem to care so much. There is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t have been able to heal after my parent’s and then later XGF’s infidelity if it hadn’t been for the Wayward forum and the many former WS’ who have the cojones to look in the mirror and change their ways.

This site is awesome in so many different ways, thank you ever so much for this labor of love!!

I can't begin to name the members who rallied around me when I first joined, carried me through the dark early days, stood beside me as I walked through the D, and still cheer me on as I keep pushing forward through my NB.

The heart of this site is the members who step up to help each other - giving mojo in OT, hugs and comfort in JFO, thoughtful support in every corner of the site, and smiling reminders that life goes on in F&G.

Every member has the power to hold the hand of another, bear witness to the fears and sadness, lift a spirit, and lead the way out of the dark. It's a beautiful and powerful thing to see.

I agree with the others.

For every disgruntled yucky person out there there are probably countless more who are so SO grateful for the support, guidance and comfort this site offers. Even though none of us really wanted to belong to this type of site, there is a real sense of belonging and community here. It is evident that we care about each other.

Keep on rockin' admins and mods! You do great work.

ETA: and how could I forget the awesome guides?! You guys and gals are ALL amazing!!
