I was looking through our old phone records and noticed WH had more than usual pic texts during his A. He told me that slut whore sent him two pics of the progress her fiance was making on her house (she was fucking my H while he unknowing fiance was fixing up her house...classy right?)

I confronted him and now hes telling me that she sent those and pics of her kids and her dogs. I ask him if he ever sent pic messages of MY kids to her and he said no but I would bet he did but he isn't saying if he did.

Then I start telling him I see that he did in fact ignore my call waiting while talking to her or answer the call waiting from her when he was talking to me. He said he always ditched her to talk to me and I cant really tell if he did ignore me or not but I figured he already "white lied" about the pics so lets see if he fesses up to that. He says "I don't know if I did but I don't think I did". To me that says yes which means if he did and only fessed up now bc of evidence then he lied about that too.

I know these aren't like huge lies or anything but they are in this situation.

I asked him questions and he threatened that we were done, he was going to pack up and go. I said that's fine, I don't want you here if you cant be honest. Answer the questions HONESTLY or go. Now he has answers, guess you thought I was playin huh? NOPE!!!

I'm pretty pissed off that he lied about something like that but hell he did sneak around and fuck a whore he didn't know in a dirty roach motel (like the kind in crackville nasty) while he was married and his wife was taking care of his kids. So Im not really that surprised, just hurt

I understand. Why lie about small things? It is infuriating and frustrating. Why lie?

Habitual liars have a hard time separating fact from fiction, and I am sure they begin to believe their own lies.

Have you read " when your lover is a liar"? That book was wonderful, and eye opening for me.

Sounds like he's only going to admit to, what you have proof of. My ws did the same thing. They make it where you can never believe them, because the truth changes.

Yep, my wxh did this as well. Lies about stupid stuff, refusal to admit to lying even when I had proof, the whole nine yards. I really did come to doubt my sanity.

My WH husband lied constantly. About small things that did not even matter - what's the point?! He would retell a story about an event we were at together and would fantastically EMBELLISH - making himself to look really good. I would be in the corner listening and wondering - WHY! I became so good at knowing when he was lying. I couldn't stand it! NPD, pathological lying - I think it goes hand in hand with cheating.

My ex did the same thing- he tried to lie about cheating in the first place! He told our judge that he never cheated on me because he didn't realize I kept proof!

There was constantly changing details. First it was that they got together for lunch once a month. Then it turned into every week. Then it turned into nearly everyday. Then he told me they stopped when they hadn't. He told me that he didn't text her anymore- still did. He said that he never let her into our home- that was a lie. Every time I did digging, I found evidence that contradicted something he said. Instead of telling the truth, he only shared what physical evidence MADE him share. Even after we broke up, he still wouldn't admit to a lot of what he did. I will probably never know the honest truth.

I am sorry he is doing this.

I dont understand some of the reasoning. Youre already caught why lie even more? It just makes the WS crazy and then it makes dealing with this so much more difficult. How do you trust, or try to just a little, when theyre still lying???

Im getting fed up with this shit!

I remember a few months after DD1, ws gave me a story about where he had been when I was out of town. My Ds told me he had left. He had just gotten home from a weeklong tournament with one of the kids, I was out of town with one of the other kids. So he drives 6 hrs, comes in, takes a shower, then leaves. He told me a guy he worked with had a BBQ. #1. He hates this guy. He's a co worker, cusses him rverytime he mentions his name. #2. My ws never wants to go to any BBQ, especially after a long drive and being out of town for a week. So he tells me all about this guys house, what they ate, who was there. A couple of weeks later, he tells me he went to a place 50 miles from our home to watch a race at a sports bar.He hasn't drank in over 20 yrs and why drive when we have a big screen at home..
His story also included a version where some guys from work asked him to go to a tittie bar. He NEVER socializes with anyone from work.
I know he was with ow, but if your gonna lie, geez make it believable. Just for shits and giggles, every few months I ask about that night, just to see what version I get. He cannot remember what he told me and of course each story has an elaborate description of the event.

Yeah, that happens a lot here. During the Spring my WH went out for a ride on his motorbike (just for the helluvit you understand) and I 'knew' he'd gone visiting one of the many ow. He regaled me later with the story of a local town he'd been to, that he'd never visited before. Fast forward to a month ago and we visit the town together, he's no idea how to get there because "I've never been here before" - oops!

Oh and the one where he looked me in the eye and angrily denied that he had another SIM he was switching in and out of his phone (after I'd caught him out with a dummy profile on "iwantcasual" and he'd given my alias a different number). Kinda gave the game away when he accidentally responded to me (wifey) by text on the wrong SIM - doh! I know it's tragic, but I nearly wet myself laughing over it

Part of NPD is thinking you're wayyyyy smarter than everyone else - sorry NPD people, but you're just mere humans like the rest of us...
