Every year I run a 5k race before the Oktoberfest Parade. It runs the parade route. Every year I try to wear something so DSS can find me since he's at the parade with his mother. This year I wore my chicken hat and I won the Spirit Award!

Here is all the stuff I won for having the most spirit!

Now I just have to plan on doing something bigger and better next year.

Hope is never lost. It exists within you - it is real. It is not a force in and of itself - it is something that you create with every thought, action, and choice you make. It is a gift that you create for yourself.

I'm thinking Beer Fairy. I could save my Christmas card glitter and throw it as I run past all the parade spectators.

It was a lot of fun!

This weekend is my first half marathon so we'll see how spirited I am after that.
