I went to the Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhineback, NY today.

Specialty yarn score! Clockwise from the top: Blends of Himalayan nettle, mink, Samoyed hair (yes-dog!, mohair, angora, and 100% angora.

Rainbow of yarns for a scarf:

This is a merino/silk blend for a shrug:

Some new friends (no; they didn't come home with me):

These are Pac-cunas (cross between alpaca and vicuna)

Damn- used to have a Samoyed. The amount of hair she would "blow" twice a year would have kept you in yarn for a looooong time!
