Is this about a lack of trust ... or maybe more?

This afternoon I went to the wake for a neighbor. As I walked up to the funeral home, a neighbor man said hi and started a conversation. I stopped to talk a minute. He is always pleasant to talk with and I have known him since elementary school. He's a couple of years younger.

After only a minute or so, a voice coming up the walk said, "Well HUSBAND, did you miss me?" I recognized his W. His answer was, "Where were you?".

From my dealings with her, she is mostly a B**** (with a capital B) because I am not one of her cronies. She could not see me from where she was when she spoke, only that he was talking with a woman. WTF??? Others have said they have the same opinion of her as I.

She was nice enough when she saw who it was, maybe because she was slightly embarrassed by her actions, almost gushing and overly flowery and gesturing widely with her speech, but again, WTF??

Previously, I might not have given it a second thought, but given my experience now, I can't help but wonder what's behind that......

Everywhere I go that I see couples, I wonder, "Has one of you cheated on your spouse?" Sadly, considering the percentages of infidelity, it's a 50/50 that one of them has. However, considering how many of us know predatory women who must consider it some kind of an award to nail a married man, maybe your friend's wife was just setting a boundary.... but for you or for him ? Good question.

Whether for me or him, it sure seemed there was something behind it with the word emphasized so. There was no one else out there then.
