I just bought gold and silver leaf and was anxious to work with it. Wow, it's a tricky business. That stuff is wispy. I think there's as much on my studio floor as in this painting, an 8" x 12" mixed media (acrylic paint, acrylic gesso, pastel pencil, silver leaf) on paper.

I love it!!! Very nice work!!

Where did you get the Silver Leaf?? I have a beautiful, blue glass bowl that has Silver Leaf painted on the back of it and some of it is starting to peel off....

I would love to be able to replace it as you can see where it is missing when you look down through the bowl as it sits up on a decorative stand....

Sorry for the t/j....HUGS

Silver leaf is available in serious art stores. You buy an adhesive that "glues" the leaf to its spot.Could it be that what you have is silver paint not silver leaf? Silver leaf is quite delicate. A bowl that may need washing might not be the best spot for it. Could be, though. Who knows?
