Can someone help me with a .pdf file? I've downloaded a job application and it opens in Adobe Reader. Is there a way to easily convert it (without changing the format of the application) so that I'm able to type my information?

Thanks

Google "convert pdf to word"

Some free tools show up.

After editing it, you can google "convert word to pdf" so you can send it back.

No guarantees about how the format will survive 2 conversions, though.

Good luck.

If you use Libre Office or Open Office, you should have the option to edit it and save it as a pdf.

Take care of yourself. There's a great future out there. It won't come to you; you have to go to it.

Thank you. I'll look those up. I don't use Open Office or Libre Office.

Some of the newer .pdf allow you to define typable fields so a person can fill it out and print it.

Unfortunately, they didn't do that. I was able to download the form but not do anything with it except print. I've two programs so far to convert it and they didn't work properly. Still trying...

I might be able to convert it to Word (varying degrees of success with the program I have on my computer) - if you want me to do that, just PM me and I can give you my email address.

Print it out.

Type or very neatly handwrite your answers.

Scan the file and save as a pdf. Kinkos and other such shops can do that for you.

Send back the new pdf.

(do a save-as with your name in the file name)
