Yeah, I know, its Thursday, but we homeschool and so our group can do it during the week.

My daughter is 16 (17 next month). She is very high functioning aspergers. It has always been a fear of mine that boys would try to take advantage of her kind heart.

There is a boy...he asked her to homecoming last month. She had only just realized he liked her. She said yes, of course. I know him well and his parents (mom especially). I was thrilled because he truly is a sweet boy.

Then he asked her on a date. He brought her a rose, dressed in a shirt and tie. He opens doors for her.

He asked her on another date 2 weeks ago. After the date he got on one knee and asked her to be his girlfriend and gave her a necklace. Terribly romantic.

He is so respectful. He treats her so well. They've only hugged and held hands at this point.

My first boyfriend was not like that, he was a horny teen boy. This boy is not pike this at all. I can't tell you how much it means to me that my daughter's first boyfriend experience is positive and she's learning to expect respect.

Tonight is homecoming. My tomboyish, poultry loving farm girl has a beautiful dress. At 4:00 all the girls in our group will be getting ready together. My daughter will be transformed into a princess. This will be a night she will never forget.

My baby is growing up.

Oh my gosh you made me cry. Enjoy every minute of it! How wonderful for her. My 18yr old princess is 800 miles away at college this morning and I miss her so much! Take lots of pictures so when you are a lonely empty nester like me you can revisit such a special time in both of your lives.

Want to see pics!!! I am so excited for your girl. I am actually to the point of being sick of how great my daughter's boyfriend is. Lol. Ok. It's been almost two years. Stop being sweet and move along now! Lol

I hope she has a wonderful night.
