Just listened to the founder of StoryCorps talk ... basically about living authentically, loving, and integrating our personal stories into a healthy personal narrative.

Here's a guy whose life's work is listening to other people stories. Loving connections.

His wisdom on closure comes from a hospice nurse:

If you want to avoid being that person who has serious regrets at the end of your life, she says there are five things you want to make sure you say to the people you love before you die.

"Thank you, I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, and goodbye."

"Thank you, I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, and goodbye."

We might not always get to hear that when we need it, from the person who has cause us the most pain, so maybe we need to give it to ourselves.
