A friend of mine passed away earlier this week. He was my age. It was unexpected. And he had two kids younger than mine.
There was a celebration of life tonight.
I only knew him for a relatively short amount of time compared to most of the attendees tonight. But that short time was enough.
So, call that friend. Meet them for coffee. Go have a beer with them. Because life happens. It just happens.

So sorry Baxter! Losing a friend is never easy, especially so young. I lost a friend about a month and a half ago, very suddenly. It really shook me up, but it put into perspective Just how precious life really is.
So, call that friend. Meet them for coffee. Go have a beer with them. Because life happens. It just happens
this!! This so much!! Again my deepest sympathies Baxter!

My friend (43) passed away two weeks ago.
I'm having a heck of a time with it. Not sure if it was because she was so close to my age or what (and our kiddos are the same age) but it really shook me to the core.
I did EXACTLY what you said over the weekend....I met up with my old HS friend because you just never know when life is going to change on you.
Sorry about your friend!
