In the spirit of being a healthy role model for my son I took up running, and so did he.

Well this year it has become apparent that I have created a monster. --read his comments below:

"We had the fitness test in gym today and I did the most laps, 44. My last two hurt because I had a stitch"

Me: "so why didn't you slow down or walk.:

Him: "What do you mean walk? i don't walk."

"my throat hurts, does this mean I will have to miss the run tonight?"

"For every five pieces of Halloween candy I eat I am going to run 1K."

"mom I need to go train, lets go running. I am going to do my first 5K this year."

"I don't care if it is raining I am doing this race!"

"This is important, it will help me in all my other sports."

He is busy planning out training scheudles, routes, distances, the time he wants to have on the runs.

Oh dear Lord what have I done.

I love it!! Was in the process of doing the same with my son when I broke my foot (Sat). We are strategizing on how I can bike and he can run.....back up plan is to row what we would have run until I can get back to running form.....

DSS loves to run too! He runs 5k race with me and he does Adventure Running with DH. It's a wonderful sport!

Married a truly wonderful and loving man Sept. 19, 2010. Not only survived, but thrived.
