With 2 of the men that I've dated, they didn't even wait until I was home from the date to text me.

I was really touched by the gesture of both of these men. I didn't find these texts to be over-eager, just really honest.

Why does there have to be such games, such protocol with dating? Why can't we just say what we feel (gasp), even on a first date? I'm not talking about speaking with no filter, just about being honest in our attraction for someone.

I like open communication, and this just reiterates how much I appreciate it from others.

My point? Probably none, but just my thought on the whole game of dating.

Amen. It's courteous and honest.

Not too difficult in my book.

Same here! I would much rather have someone tell me they are not interested, in a nice way of course. I hate the games

I say what I feel when I like a guy and want another date with him.

I am working on this, but it's harder to say to someone's face that I'm not interested in a second date. I tend to be non-committal at the time and then later wish them luck in finding a match. I am getting better at this with practice, though!

I completely agree!!! Its so mean to lead someone on to think that your date went so great and even make future plans with them, when in reality, you have absolutely no plan on ever speaking to them again. When I texted that doctor and thanked him for the lovely time the night before, he should have just told me then. It was his perfect "out" to do it. He could have done it over text, email, Whatever!!! Something is better than nothing. But, instead he responded ONCE saying he had a great time too and that he really enjoyed the overlook I took him too showing him the city. Then, NOTHING. Silence is a killer and waiting by the phone makes me feel like a pathetic teenager. I would try to distract myself but I was so excited about hearing from him that I couldn't stop checking my phone. Very frustrating.
