Anyone here dealt with kidney problems before?
I am 47, in good health. I work out 3-4 times a week and am not overweight. I eat well, drink very little and don't smoke. I've always been really healthy and active.
In May I had bloodwork done in my physical and some of my kidney values were right at the end of the range. Hmmm strange. We looked back at my past and I've always been flirting with the high end, but now I've tripped over. I have had 3 more tests this summer, avoided NSAIDS, exercised but not strenuously and tried to cut down on soda and what small amount of wine I drank. Each test got progressively worse.
I am to see a nephrologist next week but I am really wondering WHAT THE HECK??
I've never had kidney stones. In all honesty I don't feel wonderful and at times I feel a little bloated, but realistically I think that could be my mind playing tricks on me too.
My SO who works in a hospital keeps saying "get a CAT scan" but that isn't like the easiest thing for a regular person to get. I presume I will get one if my appt next week calls for one.
Anyone ever had something like this and it turned out to be nothing?

I'm sorry, but I don't have any advice. I wanted you to know that I hope it turns out to be nothing. Sending mojo and good thoughts.

I had kidney stones & didn't know until last year when they began passing spontaneously. Frightening!
