Ok I've only fwh's word about how he tried to end the A but he did end up having a breakdown because of it so it was hardly fun for him. And I read a few texts on dday

She was all full of "I can't live without you" which in view of his near suicides pressed all his buttons

But they've been NC for 7 weeks
