He's a Navy Seabee, just returned from a year in Afghanistan two weeks ago. We are so pleased to have him home.

Tonight we went to a semi-pro hockey game with brother, sister and my parents. My brother stayed after the game to skate on the ice with my kids.

I can't begin to understand what he witnessed in Afghanistan, but tonight presented him SO many triggers. The crowds, the noise, the sudden movements... It brought him to tears at least once and to fisticuffs nearly several times.

My poor brother doesn't understand his own reaction, and the kids sure as heck don't understand, nor should they ever have to.

God bless and thank my brother, and I pray he finds some peace and help to adjust now that he is home.

Oh, wow! My BIL has PTSD and a TBI from Iraq. (((stroppy and family))) I hope he starts feeling a bit more 'normal' soon.

Thank you, TIKY. I am beginning to think the military should offer something to families of those returning... We don't quite know how to help! He's a single guy and I worry for him trying to get through this in his own.

Prayers are extended to your BIL and family. We are lucky to love these heros!

Oh stroppy, I am sorry. I am glad your brother has a loving family.

He will get through this. Please encourage him to talk to a professional, especially one who deals with veterans. There is help
