Any fans of this series by Jim Butcher? I like them for an escape. I thought my BH would too for a break from reality but he just gets so aggravated when Harry or other characters make stupid decisions that get them in trouble.

Profoundly grateful Every. Single. Day. that I am blessed with an H with strength, integrity, and compassion, and that he decided to try.

I have the entire series (so far) and I think it's excellent. I don't think Harry makes stupid decusions even though trouble seems to follow him like a lost puppy. He does the best he can in the situations he finds himself in. Some may find the character overprotective (especially of women) and perhaps a little overbearing but essentially a decent guy who is constantly refusing to use his power for personal gain.

All affairs are variations on a theme. No one has 'Beethoven's 5th' to everyone else's 'Chopsticks'.

Loved the Dresden Files. I blazed through them all somewhere around the first half of this year. The situations he ends up in kind of do remind me of the "Oh boy" moments of that show Quantum Leap. Looking forward to book 15 coming out early next year.
