I just joined SI, but have been reading daily since dday. We are 7 months out.
My user name doesn't make sense and that's pretty par for the course in my life right now. I meant to be "strongmomof3" lol, but I guess I am not as focused as I thought. Is there a place required to post introductions and background or do I just jump in anywhere?

Hello and welcome to this horrible club that nobody wants to belong to but everybody is glad to find. Look at my name - I meant it to be devastated30 but I wasn't really with it at the time either.
Go ahead and put your story up wherever you want. Some people put it up on their "home page" others don't bother just find a "forum" and post it there.
Just know that you are welcome here and though we are sorry to see you here, we are here to help.

Hi, and welcome. You can put your story in your profile so it's always there for people to read and you don't have to type it over and over again. Or, you don't have to. Whatever you're comfortable with.

Start posting with a question, concern, whatever background you're comfortable giving.

Read the forum descriptions to figure out where you post best fits. There is also a sticky post at the top of General to help you with the abbreviations.

You'll find your way around.

Thank you! I hate to be in this club too. I have found by reading these forums the last 7 months or so, that this group is such an amazing strong group of folks. I just now felt I was strong enough to post without breaking down or triggering.

I remember reading for a couple months before being ready to join/post too.

I'm glad you feel ready. This is kinda what the WHOLE process feels like. We're in one space, wanting to be in another... and we work our way there in our own time.

Welcome.
