Unsolicited Credit Card

OK this is really weird. I've received an unsolicited platinum 'business lease' credit card - not an offer, the actual full plastic, mag-stripe card with business name already embossed and $100,000 credit line. 0.0% 90-day intro rate (with NO fine print describing what happens after 90 days).

I'm going to cut it up - but I thought this was illegal???

Anyone know? The company is "Pacific Capital Companies LLC" and it does say "equipment lease card" and there is no verify number.

Or should I just lease my business use Lamborghini now???

Is there a number on the back you can call? Also, maybe check your credit report to make sure there isn't anything suspicious.

Yes, and good suggestion.

It's not really a credit card, I think, only a lease line of credit, and probably at a high rate of interest after the 90 days. But there is NO explanation up front and the appearance is one of a credit card.

I think it's a bit of a scam ...

I owned my own business up until 2011. I get that card all the time. I just cut it up.

If you want to report it - go to your state's attorney general's office. They usually handle these type of issues.
