Just thought I'd ask, after seeing this on Facebook.

36 times?!?!?!?! Ewwwwwww. I usually wash mine after two wearings, sometimes three. Hot summer days, they get washed after only one day.

So ladies, tell the truth, how often?

Wash a bra? Why would I do that?

If it's that dirty, I just buy a new one!!!

I'm supposed to wait until it smells? Does the same standard apply to my underwear, too?

I don't have a rule for how often I wash them, but it's not after only 2 or 3 wearings. I go longer than that. I dunno.

I usually have two or three out during the week and wear whichever is appropriate with my outfit. They all go into the wash over the weekend when I do laundry.

Sooo...once a week.

However, sports bras are only worn once since they get stinky with sweat.

it depends... I have one that I really like, so I usually wear that one 2 or 3 x.

Sports bra gets worn 2 or 3 x too

If it smells or looks dirty, I definitely don't put it back on another time.

Otherwise, maybe four to five times of wearing if I've done nothing to sweat, etc., in it. It is NOT the same as other underwear because well, I'm not going to explain it. It's just not the same.

Oh, I agree Bobbi - not the same as panties. Whole different standard there.

For those of us that are gifted in the area of bras the good ones that really support us are expensive, and washing them wears them out quicker than anything. I have 3 that I use for work, which is a desk job, they get washed once a week or every two weeks depending on how much they were worn, or how hot it was.

Every day when I take them off they get hung over the towel rack above the floor vent in my bathroom as well and get a good airing out.

The bra lady told me:

1) You should not wear the same one everyday. AT LEAST you need to do every other day ... because it wears them out.

2) Never put them in the dryer. Air dry

3) You should start out on the first hooks when you put them on. Never start on the 2nd or 3rd row ... you should only use those as the bra sort of wears out and you need more support.

I wash mine once a week and I alternate between 2 and 3 - I have a white one, black one and beige one. I have some fancy ones too I rarely wear since they stick me or hurt my back. Just use those for fancy parties or special events.

I alternate between 2 or 3 during the week for work - wash them all on the weekends, hanging them up to air dry. I spend a lot of money on good supportive bras and I try to make them last as long as possible.

Sports bras get washed after every use because when I work out I SWEAT!

When I think about it. I have 3 good bras, a few not-so-good ones and a whole drawer full of those camisoles with the built-in bra. I do follow the advice of not wearing the same one two days in a row. And, I don't put them in the dryer (but occasionally one of the guys helps out).

By the way... I just got a very interesting reaction from my husband when he walked by and read what I wrote.

I wash all my bra's every other week OR when i run out.

That said, i fell in absolute LOVE with the Maidenform Comfort Devotion line. I have a small chest circumference (34) but a DD cup and I dont know what it is about Maidenform, but they have nailed this market area. I have tried pretty much every bra maker out there and this is the only brand that does it.

So, I bought this bra in every color they had (4) and i can get at least 3 wears out of each. And since they are amazing, if i am going to work the horses or so anything that requires me to sweat, then I will change into one of my grubby ones and wash that one with the regular.

I have 3 or 4 very nice ones in the mix most of the time. They get washed about once a week, hung dry.

When I get home from work I take it off, change into a sort of camisole? Something that looks like the ahh bra. Like a sheer, thin, soft, wireless, pull over comfy sports bra. I have tons of those. Would never wear them in public, but love them around the house.

Oh, my hell...you have no idea...

Like spending your 30 minutes of free time trying to get the hooks out of a towel.....thats been twisted so much you can't tell where the bra begins and the towel ends...

I've learned my lesson....

I cannot stand bras. If I wear one at all it's just a soft sleep bra.

I hate shopping for bras so when I find one I like/that is comfy I usually buy several in different colours....

It means that I can wear one for a few days, then change it out and still be comfy....

I always hang them to dry so they don't get a warbled and bent out of shape...helps keep them longer.
