My little Merris is having big issues with her eye due to a cut that won't heal. We brought her back in this morning and they said they needed to do surgery right away to try and repair the damage. It involves a lot of cutting a nd pulling and stitching and I'm just so sad for her. I'm also anxious because her breed is on high alert for anesthesia complications, and she has always had a particularly difficult time with breathing due to her brachycephalic nature.

She's a sweet, kind soul that just loves hugs and her daddy especially. I just want her to be home and happy again.

If you have some mojo/thoughts/prayers to spare would you please send some her way?

Such a sweet baby....Sending lots of Pug prayers her way.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Thanks. It just aches in particular because she's so innocent - she doesn't understand why this is happening. She's going to get alllll the loves and snuggles and hugs we can give her (around a cone... )

My baby just had cancer surgery for the second time ... and she doesn't understand and she loves her daddy too. She came home that night and just cried and cried. I thought our hearts would break but by the next morning she was good as new ... sort of ... she wasn't crying!

Your baby will be all good soon. It's best the cut gets the help it needs to heal!

AWWWWWWWW!!!!

(((PuggyRazz)))

A positive story: We had a Persian ( they have similar eyes to pugs) and my other cat cut his eye. Same as here, it wouldn't heal. Dr. did surgery- peeling the eye like an onion. Cat did well for a long time after that, but looked a little FrankenKitty right afterward.

Sending mojo for the surgery and the anesthesia.

The Katzhouse Kitties (my five cats) and I send all our healing mojo to Merris!!! Another positive story - I had a Tonkinese cat named Meo who had to have a growth on her cornea removed, and she healed up just fine. Best healing prayers and wishes for Merris!

Be careful what you wish for the most - you may get it.
