Well it finally snowed here for the first time today. A sloppy, wet, slushy type of precip---but it's snow just the same. And it's still coming down now. Yuck!

The older I get--the less use I have for this frozen mess. I'm too old to make a snowman and shoveling it has become more of a chore than it used to be. I must be getting old--or just tired of this shit.

I know lots of people like the snow--and you are more than welcome to come by and have all you want from my house. There will be no charge and I may even come outside and cheer you on as I drink a beer and offer you one as well

They are calling for lake effect here overnight. I don't mind if we have a school snow delay, but I hate doing the make-up days.

Teslet is excited, though. Says that we have to build a snow pile...dunno if we are getting that much!!!

DS,

Laying down to make an angel will be easy. Getting back up and wringing out my clothes will be a different story

wh5,

Don't worry. It's headed your way

Tesla,

Lake effect can be really bad. I'm just glad I live W of the lake. No real chance of that here

Especially in the winter DS.

I'd be afraid some of the neighborhood punks would come by and try to turn me into a bald snowman

First snow here today, too. It was big fluffy flakes, swirling about like the inside of a snow globe. My inner winter Grinch does not approve, even though it was very pretty.

Ended up with a dusting that will, undoubtedly, be gone tomorrow. Fine by me.

They are calling for snow in upstate New York which is sometimes close enough for us to get it too. I don't know if it will make it this way but I am kind of looking forward to it. It's wet and cold anyway.. might as well be snow. I always enjoy it until Christmas is over and then I am done.

And here we are with all the windows open...high was 74 and sunny

But this Wednesday we're dropping down to 34 over night...we never know what to do when it gets that cold except to not leave the house

I'm with you, WHG, I have less and less interest in dealing with snow every year. This is when I start looking at real estate ads for more southern places (I'm in PA, originally from MI). Time to haul out the studded tires ...

Everyday could be a snowman day if the conditions are right!!

On Saturday, up in the frozen north, LF and I made the first of what may be a whole army of snowmen with the granddaughter!

We got a lovely frozen mix here. Not enough to shovel, but frozen enough to make the drive to work not fun.

It *does* look pretty on the trees, but I don't want it on the road.

We got stuck in a blizzard last night on the way home from shopping. Then, after we got home, the freezing rain started.

I loathe winter.

Blech!!!!

We had our official "first snow" here overnight too. I was not much, just on roofs, raised surfaces, and some grassy areas, but just a dusting.

The thing that made my the sadest was the wind that came with it, ripped the cover off our boat and it was covered with snow this mo rning.

I HATE WINTER, and for it to rape my sweet innocent Bass boat like that was just heartbreaking to me.
