I am replacing my HAVC system and have a couple of estimates. The 2 estimates are almost exactly the same price but one company uses Trane and the other uses Lennox.

Anyone have any thoughts and experience with either?

TIA

Go with Trane/American Standard on this choice.

Thanks TR. I was leaning towards that company laready because the guy who came out pointed a few details that should have been done with my previous unit, like no drip pan under the units inside. HE just seemed to know a little more than the guy from the other company.

When we got a new system, we got a Trane. Supposed to be very good...and we've had no problems in 8 years, FWIW. I assume you've done the usual web searches...I don't know if Consumer Reports has reviewed such things?

Go with whichever one has the best seer rating. The higher the number, the better.

My H was an HVAC guy - he says Trane.
