Thanks for the previous advice. Her(?) transition has been an amazing success. She has the run of the house most of the time, she uses the litter box like a champ, and loves to play with the many toys we have provided. There is a tentative detente with my older cat, Baby wants to play, Lady (no claws) just smacks her soundly when she comes nearby. However, Lady is intrigued anew by the toys she no longer played with and seems to hang around and watch when Baby is being a clown. She also is very adept at sneaking down to eat Baby's food father than sticking to her own bland kidney diet.

It is like having a toddler.Because she was an outdoor cat, she whined to go out for the first few days and needed entertaining and extra cuddling. She loves to be held and petted, is very tractable and lovey.

And, ironically, my older cat's kidney function has improved drastically!

Me-BS-71 in May HIM-SAFWH-74 I just wanted a normal life.Normal trauma would have been appreciated.

I tamed down a feral kitten and she is the most loving pet!

(S)he spends most of the day snuggling in my lap, giving me frequent kisses. I estimate that she is about 10 mos old judging by her size and when we first saw her. I was told by "experts" at a local SPCA that I'd never tame her if she were older than 4-5 mos old...

I still don't know for sure her gender. When we took her (as a feral) for TrapNeuterRelease they said MALE, but she had an incision on her belly. I suspect the paperwork was wrong. She is little, only about 7 lbs.

Doesn't matter, she's neuter now. Black, so not very photogenic...and being bad here.

And here is the queen...being tolerant.

Awesome update. I hope she continues to meld into the family and your older one continues to accept her, if even begrudgingly. Lol.

Funny she's all black and the feral I tamed was all black and my rescues I have now was feral is also all black. The ASPCA couldn't be trusted to get the gender right so why would they get the facts about among her right either. Lol.
